During the month of December, Parker Lower School students spread the joy of the season by collecting school and personal hygiene supplies for students across the globe. The annual Season of Giving collection drive is a tradition at the Lower School to help inspire global awareness and to help those in need.

Each grade (JK-Grade 5) was responsible for collecting a designated supply. The collected supplies will be given to the Middle and Upper School students to deliver during their Discovery Week and Global Studies trips in the spring.

Students will travel to Costa Rica, Peru, Cambodia, the Philippines and Cuba. Supplies included bubbles and sidewalk chalk from the Junior Kindergartners for Cambodia. Senior Kindergarteners and Grade 1 students collected school supplies for Cambodia and Costa Rica. Grades 2, 3 and 4 students collected personal hygiene supplies for Cambodia, Costa Rica and the Philippines. Grade 5 students collected deflated soccer balls for students in Cambodia and Peru. Lastly, all grades collected children’s books for Cambodia, China and Peru.
