Dear Francis Parker School Parents,

We wish you a warm welcome to the 2019–2020 school year. Whether you are a new family in the Parker community or a parent of a graduating senior, our journey together is off to a busy start with activities bustling in all three divisions on both campuses.

This year, fulfilling our commitment to parent education, the Parents Association will support the school’s emphasis on student wellness and character building. Through the ParkerCares series, leading experts will address the most relevant issues that parents and children face.

  • Mark your calendar for Sept. 17, noon to 1:15 pm, at the Student Life Center on the Linda Vista Campus, when Dr. Jean Twenge (www.jeantwenge.com) will speak about parenting iGen and the trends in independence, mental health, and technology.

Also, the PA is excited to introduce a new format for our General Meetings. Designed to accommodate Parker’s working parents, the format features Parker speakers to keep us informed about school life.

  • Mark your calendar for our inaugural luncheon meeting on Oct. 1, noon to 1 pm, at the Student Life Center on the Linda Vista Campus. Head of School, Kevin Yaley, will present his annual State of the School Address.

For all noon meetings, feel free to join us at 11:30 am to socialize with fellow Parker parents and partake in a light lunch and refreshments.

Be sure to visit the Parents Association Resource Board within onCampus for even more information about activities and volunteer opportunities. We look forward to connecting with all of you, enjoying the 2019–2020 journey, and having a productive school year.

Happy September!
