Jeff Silberman ’75 named Parker’s next ‘Distinguished Alumni Award’ recipient

Francis Parker School alumnus Jeff Silberman ’75 will become the fourth recipient of the School’s Distinguished Alumni Award.

Jeff was unanimously voted as the next honoree by a group of his peers for embodying the essence of a Parker education: intellect, initiative, and social responsibility.

Filling a community need

A new, student-run technology club at Parker began like most organizations–by filling a need for a service.

“We are a group of kids who provide tech support for senior [citizens],” says Brett Kim, Class of 2021. Brett is the president and founder of Tic Tac Tech.

New coach brings big vision to Parker Girls Basketball

Judy Spoelstra has an initial goal for girls basketball at Parker, and it’s a big one–grow the program.

Judy is the new head coach of the varsity team.

“I’m excited to be at Parker and to get the girls as excited as possible,” says Judy. “[Athletic Director] Anthony Thomas was making a strong push to rebuild the program and bring girls basketball along at Parker. I was interested because there was a lot of support.”
