Surfing:

Parker Surf Team had a contest Sunday, Jan. 27 at La Jolla Shores in beautiful 2-4 foot surf. We had our biggest showing of surfers this year. Mark Tankersley, Class of 2020; Asher Ellis, Class of 2020; and Charlie Ogle, Class of 2021, competed in men’s shortboard. Mark,  Asher, and Sam Thompson, Class of 2022, competed in men’s longboard. Charlie competed in bodyboard. Sierra James, Class of 2022, competed in women’s shortboard and Maddy Giek, Class of 2021, competed in women’s longboard.

Everyone surfed well and four members of our team made it to the finals. Sierra took 6th place in women’s shortboard; Maddy took 6th place in women’s longboard; Charlie took 6th place in bodyboard; and Mark took 3rd place in men’s longboard.
