Parker sent 13 student-athletes to Oakland to compete against teams from all over the state in the 2019 Golden Bear Regatta, held Feb. 23 and 24.
In Silver Fleet, the A Division team of Gabe Campbell, Class of 2022, and Kat Crosby, Class of 2020, along with B Division skipper Paulo Campbel, Class of 2022, and crews Carolyn Kravets, Class of 2021; Nikolai Halldorson, Class of 2022; and Luca Bonanno, Class of 2021, sailed an awesome regatta to win first place overall in the 28-boat fleet. Congratulations to all! It was truly a team effort.
In Gold Fleet, A Fleet skipper/crew team of Peter Joslin, Class of 2022, and Reese Ger-Herscott, Class of 2020, and B Fleet skipper/crew combo Caylin Schnoor, Class of 2021, and Carson Keyes, Class of 2021, sailed a strong regatta, ending up 12th overall out of 26 boats (with Peter/Reese in a three-way tie for third place in A Division). This is an impressive result for a relatively young team sailing in the most competitive fleet in the country!
Next up for the Lancers is the Gaucho Regatta in Santa Barbara during the weekend of March 9 and 10.
