The Senior Kindergarteners line up along the walls of the Fieldhouse, their nervous eyes searching the gym entrance as the Grade 12 students hurry in. It’s the first in-person meeting of Kinderbuddies, the Parker partnership between the SK and Grade 12 classes.
One-by-one, the SK students are paired with their buddies. Introductions are made, photos are taken by the Lower School teachers, and the groups head to claim a corner of the gym floor. Some lay down blankets, picnic-style. Others pull out books and letters of appreciation. It’s a beautiful sight as the young students settle in, nervous eyes transitioning into smiling faces.
