Congratulations to Linda on her retirement, and a huge thank you to her for her many years of support and service to the Parker community.

This spring, Linda Ruggles put on a big smile and shared, “The time has come. I’m going to retire.”

During her 25 years at Parker, the beloved Lower School Administrative Assistant has touched the lives of so many students, families, faculty, and staff. A multi-tasker extraordinaire, Linda zips around the Lower School, taking care of everything and everyone—especially students with a loose tooth that needs to be pulled.

Heather Gray, the Dr. Robert Gillingham Head of Lower School, shares, “Linda is a great friend and seems to know everything about everybody because she cares … She is the first person to reach out to support a friend in need.”

Beyond Campus, Linda has many passions. An avid gardener, she often shares the bounty with faculty or stays up all night making perogies for Language, Culture, and Identity Week. She is most at home on the beach or in the ocean, and she has friends she has been swimming with for over 20 years in the cove. In retirement, Linda plans to spend more time with her daughters and grandchildren and travel on a whim.

“What I will miss the most is her signature laugh that fills the office. We’ve shared a wonderful journey through many changes to the campus and so many memories with colleagues and friends,” adds Heather.

Congratulations to Linda on her retirement, and a huge thank you to her for her many years of support and service to the Parker community.
