A group of 10 Middle Schoolers competed today to represent Parker in the state-level National Geographic GeoBee competition. The students were the top 10 finalists after taking first place in classroom competitions and the lunchtime semi-finals in December.
Congratulations Will Frost, Class of 2023, on being named the winner of Parker’s GeoBee finals. Will is now eligible to take an online exam to qualify to participate in the California State Geo Bee, to be held March 29. The state-level contestants will be announced March 4. Jack Wilson, Class of 2025 took 2nd place, and Nick Goskowicz, Class of 2023 took 3rd.
The National Geographic GeoBee is an annual competition designed to inspire and reward students’ curiosity about the world. Students in Grades 4 through 8 from schools across the United States compete for a chance to win college scholarships and the honor of being named the National Geographic GeoBee Champion. The national competition will be held May 19 to 22 in Washington, D.C.
