Congratulations to Lower School Grade 3 student Arden Pala, Class of 2027, who landed his first professional theater role in The Old Globe’s production of “A Thousand Splendid Suns.” Arden credits Parker’s theater teacher Letty Robinson for sparking his love of theater.

“Mrs. Robinson is the one who started it,” said Arden. “My love for the stage started ever since I was in her class.”

Arden will be playing Zalmai in the play. He says he looks forward to the whole experience of a play production from the very first rehearsals to the excitement of opening night.

“I love learning my lines and just being on stage,” said Arden.

Most recently, Arden was in the Trinity Theatre Company production of “Seussical” where he played JoJo—the most memorable role in his stage career thus far. But, Arden says nothing beats the excitement of landing your first professional theater production.

Arden plans to donate a portion of his pay to his brother’s (Kenan Pala, Class of 2022) nonprofit Kids4Community. Kids4Community is an organization whose goal is to help children and their families give back to their communities in a meaningful way.
