On Thursday, Dec. 17, Parker Head of School Kevin Yaley presented Lower School students with a check for $1,000 that will be donated to Water for South Sudan. The check presentation was the culmination of a three-day “Walk for Water” event organized and ran by Lower School students.
Grade 4 and Junior Kindergarten students researched and applied for a grant from Parker’s Grant Committee. From there, the students hosted a Walkathon for Water for Sudan on Dec. 13-15. For each person who walked, Parker donated money to the organization.
